     Owned by Alter Trade Manufacturing Corpration (ATMC), the sugar mill at Brgy. Calumangan, Bago City produces organic sugar with the use of traditional technology of processing sugar commonly used by the natives prior to the colonization of the Spaniards, and is presently one of its kind in the province.
     MASCOBADO sugar, a high quality organic whole sugar preferred by consumers for its unique flavor color and taste, is a Philippine export to Japan, Switzerland, Germany, and other counries in Europe. The production procedure is inspected yearly and undergoes control procedure from the Institute of Marketecology of Sulgen, Switzerland. The farms from which the sugarcane are taken are certified by Naturlamd e.v., the certifier of organic products, based in Germany.
     Philippine Beverage Partners, Inc. - Kanla-on Spring Water Plant located in Barangay Ilijan, Bago City is a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines, Inc. , which produces Viva Spring Water. Built in 1995 it is a response to the growing demand for bottled water for the consumers of Visayas and Mindanao.
     A visit to the plant gives an opportunity for one to appreciate the transformation of naturally abundant resources - water, into a bottled beverage that has received public acceptance and greater demand in the market.
     Take time off and have a face to face encounter with the second fastest running animal - the ostrich; definitely not in Africa, but in Bago City. Try feeding the ostrich yourself, tease it and find out if you can run as fast as it does.
     The first and the only Ostrich Farm in the entire Negros Island can be found in Barangay Caridad, Bago City and is owned and managed by Dr. Arnold Sison, a veterinarian by profession. Presently, there are six ostrich being raised in the farm, two of which are males and the rest females. As intended, the ostrich will be raised for breeding and reproduction, in view of the expensive cost of its meat at more or less seven hundred pesos per kilo P 700.00
     A geothermal ebergy exploration undertaken by PNOC-EDC at Barangay Malium, Bago City is expected to be in commision on July 2004. It is expected to light more than 800,000.00 rural homes, and provide a social contribution of a least a savings in the amount of $15 million/year of operation and will avoid a carbon dioxide emission totaling 700,000 tons annualy.
Aside from the concomitant investment potentials it brings for the City, it has also become a host to educational trips and other tours owing to its scientific utilization of natural gas as an immersion to their environmental protection and conservation efforts.
 
     Traditional weaving using crude materials and equipment, particularly made of bamboo can and may be witnessed at Sitio Hanao-Hanao, Barangay Caridad, Bago City. Try weaving and appreciate the ingenuity of the Bagueños and the best quality "patadyong" clothing that they produce using the traditional method that has stood the test of time, unantiqueted by contemporary practices and modern equipments.
     As an alternative livelihood for the hacienda workers, the project has already produced patadyong clothing materials of International Quality, and has been in the local and foreign markets.
