Mayor Torres delivers 4th SOCA

Mayor Ramon Torres delivered his 4th State of the City Address last September 21, 2011 before his constituents at the Manuel Y. Torres Memorial Coliseum and Cultural Center during the 1582 regular session of the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the city.

The Mayor discussed about the accomplishments of his administration in his 4th year as the father of the city. He further highlighted his commitment in administrative governance, economic development, environmental management, social services and coordination to local legislation.

Said commitment is guided by the framework out of the four letters comprising the name Bago; B for Barangay Empowerment and Development; A for Agri-Industrial Productivity; G for Good Governance and O for Opportunities for Bagonhons which has been the foundation of his leadership since he assume as the mayor of the city.

“Bago City has started to roll, is moving forward and is gaining velocity enough for it to propel its people over the challenges of our time,” he said.
The SOCA was attended by thousands of Bagonhons including city officials, department heads, teachers, students from Ramon Torres National High School and Bago City College, development partners, NGO’s, employees of the city and national offices.

Said event is a yearly activity of the Mayor as a gesture of transparency of his administration and accountability as local chief executive to his constituency.
